Infrastructure

The college has a  policy  and Principle of augmenting infrastructural facilities as a catalyst for ensuring academic excellence. New infrastructure is being created and existing upgraded to enhance academic standards and increase efficiency. Constant and proper monitoring of infrastructure has helped the  existing facilities. The following initiatives have been taken to meet the growing needs of the college in view of the expanding new age programmes and changing pedagogical skills at the present context.

Conference Hall

The college is having a beautiful Conference hall with  a sitting capacity of 250 persons. This is a multipurpose hall and used in cultural events, conferences/seminars and extension lectures etc.

Networking through NME-ICT

The access of internet is provided to SAMs Resource Centre , administrative office, and library  and other Sectons. This has improved the network and communication across the campus as it has given reliable and fast connectivity. The computing centre of mathematics department is used extensively for academic and administrative purposes.

Multimedia Studies-GIS LAB

The air conditioned Multimedia studios with LCD projectors and interactive boards provide the right ambience for the effective conduct of academic programmes. With a recent addition of video conferencing facility, a high level academic interaction with the National and International experts is facilitated.

Smart Classrooms

LCD Projectors Almost all the departments are equipped with LCD projectors and some smart classrooms are made for ICT enabled teaching and learning.

Science Block

All the five departments are provided with modern labs fitted with the latest equipment and wellfurnished lecture theatres.

Seminars

International and national seminars are organized and research activities undertaken to enrich the intellectual and research quotient. The college has organized  National & state Level Seminar in different departments. Eminent  Scholars have been invited to attend all the seminars organised in this college.

Hostels
The college is having a Women’s Hostel funded by UGC under special scheme during XI Plan Period.
 
Facilities for medical emergencies:

The hostel is very near to Radhanath Hospital, Olaver, Govt. Hospital. In case of emergency the help of the hospital is sought. But the first aid  facilities are available in the college

Internet and Wi-Fi facility:

Internet and Wi-Fi facility is available in the college campus.

Major responsibilities of the committee are as follows
  • The committee monitors development plans and recommends facilities for implementation
  • The committee gives guidelines for the procurement of  books, internet journals, hardware and software and other necessary articles.
  • The committee ensures the optimal use of library facility by staff and students
  • The committee organizes book fairs as well as visits to national and international book fairs
  • It ensures the availability of latest syllabi in the library
  • It takes up remedial actions towards the grievances expressed by the students and staff
Gymnasium

The college has a well equipped GYM centre. 

ABOUT OLAVER

Being established in the year 1974, Olaver College has opened the flood gate of Higher Education in the region.The college obtained Government Recognition and University Affiliation in the year 1977.
